My Journey as a Developer and Why I Decided to Build This Website

Hello there! I'm Jorge Utrera Alarcón, also known as J1Loop in the tech world. I've been a developer for 3 years now, crafting software solutions and delving into the ever-evolving tech landscape. Today, I want to share a bit about my journey, my passion for coding, and why I decided to build this website.

The Beginning of My Journey

My path into development wasn't a straight road—it was more like a winding trail filled with curiosity and problem-solving. I started exploring programming with Python and Node.js, which quickly became my go-to tools for building applications.

Over time, I expanded my skills to include Typescript, AWS services, and various frontend frameworks like React and Angular. Each new technology brought a unique challenge, and I thrived on learning something new with every project.

The Motivation Behind This Website

So, why create this website? It's simple: I wanted a space to document and share my experiences, knowledge, and ideas. Over the years, I've worked on diverse projects, from creating applications with over 2M users and an incidence rate below 1%, migrating legacy monoliths to serverless architectures to creating pipelines that streamline CI/CD workflows. Each experience taught me valuable lessons, and I believe sharing these stories can help others in the tech community.

This website is also a personal challenge. I'm diving into Next.js, a framework I've never used before. Learning new tools and technologies is a cornerstone of being a developer, and I want this site to reflect my growth. Not just in its content but also in its code.
